A Grade 5 Student Gave Birth in Aklan: Its Legal Implications

As reported in ABS-CBNnews.com last November 6, 2014, a 12-year old girl from Kalibo, Aklan gave birth to a baby boy on November 3, 2014 at the Dr. Rafael S. Tumbokon Memorial Hospital in the province. Unfortunately, the family of the said girl minor had no knowledge about her pregnancy and even had no idea on the identity of the father of the baby. Granting sans accepting that it was a consented sex between the minor girl and the guy who fathered the baby, what is its legal implication, if any? Can A Man File A Case of Rape?

It is common in our society that when it comes to rape cases, it is usually a female who is a rape victim.  In fact, most of the rape cases filed in court are against men.  I bet you do not hear nor see in the news yet that a man files a rape case against someone. Now the questions are, could a man be a victim of rape?  Could a man file a rape case against another in court?
