VAWC - Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004 Considering that I handle cases falling within the jurisdiction of a Family Court, almost every now and then, clients are referred to me involving cases of violence against women and their children. This law may be not favorable to men but it is the law. The law may be harsh but it is the law. Dura lex sed lex. For the benefit of those who follow and visit my blog, I will try to explain simply the basic features of this law or better known as Republic Act Number 9262 or an Act Defining Violence Against Women and Their Children.
